Nicaragua to begin digital TV transition

Nicaraguan telecoms services regulator Telcor has begun the final implementation of the switchover to digital TV, reports local daily La Prensa. The regulator established the "obligation to implement the required standard, under the terms and conditions determined by Telcor pursuant to the publication of the Digital TV Master Plan." However, no specific time frame has been set and experts are concerned that there is no law regulating the switchover from analogue.
