Nigeria and Ghanaian internet exchange points set up direct connection

Tuesday 12 September 2017 | 10:30 CET | News
The Internet Exchange Point of Nigeria (IXPN) has provided a link with the Ghana Internet Exchange Point, the first such interconnection in the sub-region, according to CommunicationsWeek. Mohammed Rudman, managing director of IXPN, said that the link between the Nigerian and Ghanaian internet exchange points was achieved on 05 September and that web traffic between the two countries will now be exchanged locally, without it having to go to Europe and come back.
