Nigeria gets presidential committee on broadband development

Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has inaugurated a Presidential Committee on Broadband Development. It will draw up a schedule to accelerate the extension and development of broadband infrastructure and services across all sectors of the economy, Technology Times reported. This follows demand by industry leaders for government and private sector collaboration to extend the broadband capacity that has arrived via international submarine cables.
