Nigeria launches smartphone app for flood prediction

The Nigerian government has launched the Wetin smartphone app, for forecasting floods along the Niger and Benue rivers, reports Daily Trust. The app, available on the Google app store, is a collaborative project of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the International Water Management Institute (IWMI).
