Nigeria loses estimated NGN 25 bln to Twitter ban in 10 days

Nigeria has lost NGN 24.72 billion in ten days to the Twitter ban that took effect on 05 June, CommunicationsWeek reported citing an estimate by NetBlocks. NetBlocks is a data-driven online service and has forecast the economic cost of internet disruptions using its cost of shutdown tool (COST) platform, built on Brookings Institution and CIPESA methodologies.
