Nigeria needs 30 mln set-top boxes to complete TV switchover

The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) says about 30 million set-top boxes are required for the complete switchover from analogue to digital television transmission in Nigeria. Mallam Moddibo Kawu, NBC's Director-General, said the receivers would cost billions of naira to procure. He said that the country had already procured 850,000 boxes, costing USD 26 million, Today.ng reported.
