Nigeria seeks support ahead of ITU election

The Nigerian government has urged other African member states of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to support her candidacy, as well as a Nigerian vying for the post of Director of the ITU's Telecommunications Development Bureau, William Ijeh. Minister of Communications Adebayo Shittu said Nigeria will be presenting itself for re-election into the Administrative Council seat as well as presenting ljeh for election as Telecommunication Development Bureau director at the ITU 2018 Plenipotentiary Conference in the UAE in October/November.
