Nigerian active mobile lines increase by 1.17 mln in September to 162 mln

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) says active mobile telephone lines in the country increased by 1.17 million to 162.03 million in September from 160.86 million in August. The GSM network recorded 161.68 million lines in the month under review, up 1.16 million from 160.52 million in August. Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) operators had 126,269 active subscribers in September, adding 7,261 to the 119,008 customers in August.
