Nigerian aviation agency threatens to remove 7,000 telecoms masts over height clearance

Wednesday 24 April 2019 | 10:56 CET | News
The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has threatened to pull down over 7,000 telecoms masts and towers over Aviation Height Clearance (AHC), reports ThisDay. NCAA has issued a 30-day ultimatum to telecom firms to comply with the statutory AHC or risk the removal of their over 7,000 telecommunication masts and towers for safety violations. The Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria (ALTON) has warned that the NCAA would be risking national security if it went ahead with its threat.
