Nigerian Consumer Protection Council and NATCOMs warn against price rises

The Consumer Protection Council (CPC) and the National Association of Telecoms Consumers of Nigeria (NATCOMs) have warned telecoms service providers against raising their prices, reports CommunicationsWeek. They spoke against the backdrop of plans by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to begin implementing one of the provisions of the Cybercrime Act 2015, for the collection of 00.05 percent levy on all electronic transactions, to go towards a National Cyber Security Fund account.
