Nigerian court convicts 7 SIM card registration offenders

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) said a court has convicted seven SIM card registration offenders, after concerted enforcement efforts with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC), as well as the Department of State Services (DSS). The offenders were charged and convicted at the Grade 1 Area Court Nyanya in Abuja and the Senior Magistrate Court in Kano for offences bordering on violation of SIM registration laws on 04 September and 24 September respectively.
