Nigerian govt expects to realise USD 1 bln from sale of spectrum after analogue TV switch-off

Nigerian ICT minister Lai Mohammed said over USD 1 billion would accrue to the government from the sale of spectrum after the Digital Switch Over (DSO), NAN reported. The transition from analogue to digital terrestrial broadcasting will resume on 29 April in the remaining 31 states. The first phase had covered the Federal Capital Territory and the five states of Plateau, Kaduna, Kwara, Osun and Enugu.
