Nigerian govt says financial loss to Twitter ban insignificant to national integrity

The Nigerian government has acknowledged that Twitter and its users in Nigeria are facing a huge financial loss following the social media platform's suspension there, ThisDay reported. The government insists that the loss is insignificant when compared with the integrity of Nigeria. The director-general of the National Orientation Agency, Garba Abari, said that the government had to take the decision in order to protect the national interest and integrity.
