Nigerian mobile phone subscriber base falls by 49,060 in April

The number of mobile phone subscribers in Nigeria decreased by 49,060 in April to 173.38 million from 173.43 million in March, according to the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). Its latest report says MTN had 64.73 million users in April, a drop of 302,448 from 65.03 million in March. Globacom's subscriber base increased in April by 117,053 to 46.38 million customers from 46.20 million in March.
