Nigerian mobile subscriptions rise nearly 1% to 191 million in April but in-porting plunges

The number of mobile phone subscriptions on all networks increased by 0.80 percent to 190.8 million in April from 189.28 million in the previous month, the latest statistics from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) show. Teledensity increased to 99.96 percent from 99.16 percent in March. There was a sharp drop in inward portings to 7,148 from 16,046 in March.
