Nigerian operators allegedly fail to pay 1% of turnover to NITDA to fund infrastructure

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will join a parliamentary committee to investigate telecom providers for allegedly failing to remit 1 percent of annual turnover to the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), NAN reported. Alhaji Lado Abdullahi, chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on ICT, said the committee aims to meets a one-month deadline set by the House.
