Nigerian Senate withdraws report on MTN forex - report

Monday 31 July 2017 | 14:48 CET | News
Nigeria's Senate has withdrawn a report that largely exonerated MTN of accusations of illegally repatriating USD 14 billion and rebuked the Nigerian central bank for regulatory failures, reports Reuters. The report, which was sent back to the Senate on 27 July, was almost immediately sent back for further work because it did not capture possible infractions by all stakeholders, two people familiar with the matter told Reuters.
