Nigerian TV licence fees will fund local content development

The Director General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Malam Is'haq Modibbo Kawu, says his agency will create a Digital Access Fund in which the NGN 1000 annual licence fee paid by each TV owner will be deposited, the Daily Trust reported. Kawu said the fund will be used to help content developers in the industry.
