Nigerian villages get satellite TV access through Chinese-backed project

A satellite television project has begun for 1,000 Nigerian villages under the Chinese government-sponsored 'Access to Satellite TV for 10,000 African Villages Project'. Each village will receive two sets of solar powered projector TV systems and one solar-powered, 32-inch digital TV set. Minister of Information and Culture Alhaji Lai Mohammed said the project would strengthen the already cordial Sino-Nigeria relations.
