Nigeria's Kaduna lifts 2-month ban on mobile phone services aimed at tackling banditry

Kaduna State Government has lifted its two-month ban on mobile phone services. Through the Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs Samuel Aruwan, it announced the decision on 26 November. Aruwan said the relevant government agency in charge of telecommunications had been directed to lift the ban, but that other measures to tackle banditry will remain in force, such as the ban on motorcycles, weekly markets, and selling fuel in kegs.
