Nigeria's mobile internet users pass 93 mln

The number of mobile internet users in Nigeria reached 93.55 million in July, up from 92.82 million the previous month, according to the latest data from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). Of the total, 93.40 million were on GSM networks, while 148,664 users were on CDMA. Of the 93.40 million internet users on the GSM networks, MTN Nigeria had 41.10 million customers browsing the internet on its network, an increase of 616,216 subscribers compared to June. Globacom came second with 19.33 million subscribers surfing the net in July, followed by Airtel Nigeria at 17.61 million.
