Nike's Snap brand sells basketball shoes via Snapchat app

Tuesday 20 February 2018 | 09:45 CET | News
Snap, Nike's Jordan brand, Darkstore and Shopify partnered to pre-release the Air Jordan III "Tinker" basketball shoes on Snapchat during the NBA All-Star game which took place on 18 February in Los Angeles, writes online publication TechCrunch. This is the first time a brand other than Snap has sold a product via Snapchat. Basketball enthusiasts who attended the event could start their ordering the shoes by scanning exclusive Snap codes linked to the Snapchat app. Orders could be submitted from the app and were sent by 22:30 that same night. All the shoes sold out within 23 minutes.
