Nimbus Data unveils new Gemini F400, F600 all-flash arrays

Provider of unified all-flash storage systems, Nimbus Data Systems has unveiled its new all-flash arrays: the Gemini F400 and F600. These systems utilise 1x nanometre MLC flash and deliver 2-5x greater IOps and lower latency. Nimbus Data enhanced its new all-flash storage systems by adding a hardware DSP in each enterprise flash drive, the new Nimbus Data software that reforms random small-block wires into a sequential large-block writes, reducing amplification and cell-level, rather than chip-level, wear-levelling algorithms that detect variations in flash endurance and adapt write patters
