NITA-U and UCC support pilot to supply combined electricity and fibre to Ugandan villages

The National Information Technology Authority-Uganda (NITA-U), the Uganda Communication Commission (UCC) Rural Communication Development Fund (RCDF), the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), Corning Optical Communications and ADVA SE have begun a pilot for electricity and fibre to the village (EFTTV) in Buhesi sub-county in Bunyangabu District. The project shares infrastructure to deploy electricity and ICT in rural areas of Uganda.
