NITDA partners ITU to build cyber-security centre in Abuja

The National Information and Technology Development Agency (NITDA) is collaborating with the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) to build a cyber-security centre in Nigeria before the end of 2013, the Daily Trust reported. NITDA director general Cleopas Angaye said the centre, which would be built in Abuja, would serve as cyber-security hub for the whole of Africa, where internet-related attacks that emanate within or outside Africa are repelled. Tim Akano, the coordinator of the ITU cyber protection group, IMPACT, said the centre is going to provide end-to-end cyber security
