Nkom goes ahead with NOK 4 million fine for Telenor

Tuesday 15 January 2019 | 14:33 CET | News
Norwegian telecoms regulator Nkom said it is going ahead with the imposition of the NOK 4 million fine on Telenor for failing to provide timely, accurate information for a mobile network access margin squeeze test last autumn, as Telenor's responses have not changed Nkom's opinion that there are grounds for the penalty. Nkom had originally ordered Telenor to reduce its MVNO access prices, too, but no longer needs to act in this regard, as Telenor took the initiative to lower its prices on 01 December, resulting in positive margins.
