Nkom looks at 2 GHz band for improving indoor reception

Tuesday 6 June 2017 | 13:27 CET | News
Norwegian electronic communications regulator Nkom is seeking comments on ways to improve indoor mobile reception, with a deadline of 21 July. This concerns its plans to allocate frequencies in the 2 GHz band, from 1964.9 to 1979.7 MHz and from 2154.9-2169.7 MHz. The available spectrum is split into three generic blocks. Other permits are held by Telia (2 x 19.8 MHz), Telenor Norway (2 x 19.8 MHz) and Ice.Net (2 x 5 MHz), and are valid until 31 December 2032, as are the ones to be allocated.
