Nkom says winback ban has improved telephony competition

Norwegian communications regulator Nkom has delivered a report to the Ministry of Local Government and Modernisation, saying the 2016 winback ban has succeeded in improving competition in the telephony market. The consumer council, consumer arbitrator, and informers within the sector, all contributed to Nkom's research. Winback involved trying to persuade customers not to port their telephone number to a different provider when they had already undertaken to do so, and applies to both the mobile and fixed markets.
