Nkom warns of restrictions to wireless mics on 700 MHz band

Friday 4 November 2016 | 12:41 CET | News
Norwegian electronic communications regulator Nkom said wireless microphones that use the 700 MHz frequency will be restricted in future, as this waveband has been earmarked for mobile broadband services. The 694-790 MHz band is currently used for terrestrial television broadcasting. The watchdog said it is specifically the 703-733 MHz and 758-788 MHz portions that are set aside for broadband, but it advises the public to buy microphones that use spectrum other than 694-790 MHz.
