Nokia, Airtel Africa partner on app billing, SMS services

Nokia and Airtel Africa announced a broad partnership agreement, covering the provision of Nokia Life services and Xpress Browser and Nokia Store operator billing. Nokia Life services are already available in Nigeria and will launch in Kenya this month. The services are delivered as richly formatted SMS messages delivering timely and personalised information to Airtel customers. Information is designed to meet basic needs in areas such as education, agriculture, healthcare, livelihood and spirituality. Airtel also announced the upcoming availability of integrated billing for the Nokia Store
