Nordic Q1 smart device market shrinks 12.5% - IDC

Thursday 30 June 2016 | 12:00 CET | News
The smart connected device (SCD) market in the Nordic region contracted by 12.5 percent year on year in the first quarter of 2016, said International Data Corporation (IDC). Apple and Samsung remained the top two vendors in the region, with respective market shares of 28.8 percent and 21.8 percent in the first quarter of 2016. IDC blamed the market shrinkage on unfavourable macroeconomic conditions, such as exchange rate volatility and oil price fluctuations.
