Nordic Semiconductor supplies module for Anicare Healtag reindeer tracker

Wednesday 10 April 2019 | 13:20 CET | News
Nordic Semiconductor has announced that the Finnish start-up Anicare is using its nRF9160 System-in-Package (SiP) module in its Anicare Healtag livestock husbandry system, which runs on IoT. The Healtag tracker autonomously measures animals' vital functions for up to five years, and will be commercially available from September. Data are sent to the cloud for access via a smartphone app, so that injured or ill reindeer in the wild can be identified for rescue.
