NordNet launches 20 Mbps satellite internet for consumers

Tuesday 18 December 2012 | 15:36 CET | News
Satellite broadband operator NordNet, an Orange France subsidiary, has launched the country's first 20 Mbps service for consumers, using Ka-band capacity on SES's Astra 2F satellite. The "Internet satellite Jet" service uses new-generation end-user terminals from Gilat Satellite Technologies. NordNet's service enabling HDTV, VoIP and up to 20 Mbps peak download speeds starts at EUR 29.90. SES said in September that its new service would also be marketed by Viveole and Wibox in France.
