Northern Ireland launches GBP 165 million tender for rural broadband scheme

The Northern Irish government's Department for the Economy invited tenders for a GBP 165 million scheme to roll out broadband in poorly served, mostly rural areas across the country. The majoirty of Project Stratum is funded by the UK government as part of the electoral pact between local unionist party the DUP and Britain's ruling Conservative Party.
