Northern Territory makes first transition to NBN

Wednesday 25 February 2015 | 10:45 CET | News
NBN Co, the Australian company rolling out the National Broadband Network, has announced that over 700 homes and businesses in parts of Darwin will become the first in the Northern Territory to complete the transition to the National Broadband Network (NBN) this week. As part of a national upgrade to Australia's fixed line infrastructure, the NBN will progressively replace most existing landline phone and internet services in parts of Darwin City, starting from 20 February 2015. These homes and businesses will join more than 40,000 premises nationwide to make the transition to the NBN.
