Northumberland fibre broadband project completes 1st phase

The first phase of the iNorthumberland fibre broadband project in the UK, a partnership with BT and Northumberland County Council, has been completed. More than 52,500 homes and businesses can now access fibre broadband as a direct result of the project, with an additional 3,700 premises set to benefit by June 2017. The second phase involves an investment of GBP 4.1 million, with the first premises connected in late-summer 2016.
