Norway broadcasting becomes fully digital

Monday 22 September 2014 | 13:09 CET | News
Telenor Norway said Norwegian television and radio broadcasting have now become fully digital, after the industry minister, Monica Maeland, inaugurated Norway's 759th DAB transmitter at Sttraumsgrend outside Bergen. She said Telenor subsidiary Norkring had build the world's most comprehensive radio transmission network in two years, on time and at the price and quality stipulated by parliament. The DAB network cost NOK 1 billion to develop and covers 99.5 percent of the Norwegian population. The grid will be subject to further testing and adjustments.
