Norway ready to switch off FM radio broadcasting

The Norwegian Communications Authority (Nkom) has measured the coverage of Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) networks in Norway and concluded that the conditions have been met to switch off frequency modulation (FM) radio networks. NKOM calculated that national broadcaster NRK's DAB reaches approximately 99.5 percent of the population, and that commercial broadcasters have at least 90 percent population coverage.
