Norway to introduce WiFi4EU funding scheme for public hotspots

Norwegian telecoms regulator Nkom has announced that the European Union's WiFi4EU scheme will start up in Norway in 2018. Applications will be through an EU Commission portal that Nkom will publicise on its own website once it is available. Norwegian local councils will be able to apply for EU funding towards free Wi-Fi zones in central parts of their boroughs, for access by residents and visitor.
