Norwegian 5G investment reaches NOK 790 mln in 2020, fixed wireless broadband contracts at 86,000

Norwegian communications regulator Nkom said in its statistical report for the sector in 2020 that investment in 5G networks last year stood at NOK 790 million, and that the number of the recently introduced fixed wireless broadband subscriptions reached 86,000. Sector investment in 2020 reached NOK 12.6 billion, up from a corrected figure of NOK 11.3 billion for 2019. Almost NOK 6.9 billion went on fibre networks, up by NOK 660 million from 2019.
