Norwegian broadband expansion law enters force in July

Communications regulator Nkom said the broadband expansion law will take effect from 01 July, with the exception of chapter 6 concerning infrastructure mapping. This follows its approval by the Norwegian cabinet and implements EU directive 2014/61 into national law. Norway does not belong to the EU, but is part of the European Economic Area (EEA), which gives it access to the European single market.
