Norwegian budget provides NOK 78 mln for telecom security

The Norwegian Department of Transport and Communications said the 2016 national budget will continue to support the electronic communications sector. The government is proposing to provide NOK 78 million for telecommunications security and preparedness. This will be to fund three days' back-up electricity, securing mountain plant, provide reserve equipment and protect lines in locations critical to crisis management.
