Norwegian film 'The Wave' is 5th most popular at Altibox

Lyse said that customers bought or rented 160,000 titles from the Altibox digital film kiosk in the three weeks before Christmas 2016 and more than 65,000 in the final week of the year. Norwegian disaster movie ‘The Wave’ (2015) was the fifth most popular film of the whole year among Altibox viewers. The total number of films bought or hired in 2016 as a whole was in excess of 2.1 million.

Altibox was the first broadband and television operator in the Nordic region to make it possible to buy films via a decoder, in May 2015. The service has a broad range of content that appears shortly after realease, enable customers to watch the latest films and serials.

Another Norwegian production, the film ‘The King’s Choice’ (2016), was the fourth most popular title among Altibox viewers in December. Most of the leading films in 2016 and in December were Hollywood ones.
