Norwegian govt aims to improve emergency service contact on Trollstigen tourist road

The Norwegian Ministry of Transport and Communication said that mobile coverage is inadequate on Trollstigen (highway 63), the mountain road to Geiranger and one of Norway's most popular tourist routes. Minister Ketil Solvik-Olsen has commissioned the highways agency to identify ways to report traffic accidents and other events to emergency services. Measures could improve better mobile coverage, emergency telephones, reception information signs, or other ways previously not considered.
