Norwegian govt plans optional digital driving licence

The Norwegian Ministry of Transport and Communication is planning to launch a digital driving licence in Norway in autumn, and is putting the proposal out to consultation. It said motorists would not need to carry their physical licences with them when driving on short, local trips. It said digital driving licences will enable the authorities to keep information up to date more easily.
