Norwegian state subsidies to improve broadband for 19,000 homes in 2019

Wednesday 13 November 2019 | 13:10 CET | News
Norwegian communications regulator Nkom said that the NOK 250 million granted to expand broadband in 2019 will improve services for more than 19,000 homes nationwide, with a focus on places where expansion is not commercially viable. Since 2014, state subsidies have helped more than 80,000 households get better internet service, it added. Nkom allocates the funding on behalf of the Municipal and Modernisation Department to county councils.
