Norwegians rank smartphones as greatest mobile trend

Smartphones are the most important change in Norwegian mobile telephony in the past 20 years, according to a NetCom survey. The NetCom Trends survey found that 53 percent of respondents ranked the advent of smartphones higher than SMS, cheaper voice calls or faster internet speeds. Some 22 percent of respondents thought SMS the most significant factor, while lower prices for calls and internet were most important to 9 percent of people.
