Nos says state can't cancel universal service contract

Portuguese operator Nos has strongly criticized the recommendation from the National Communications Authority (Anacom) to end the universal telecom service operated by Nos due to low demand. In a statement, Nos pointed out that the contract was the result of an international public tender and has been "scrupulously and fully complied with".
