NTT DoCoMo to launch Internet Access from Cellphones

NTT Mobile Communications Network Inc. (NTT DoCoMo) says it will launch a new cellular information system, called iMode, on 22 February 1999, pending approval from the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications. It will include the ability to access the Internet. The company also announced a new compatible handset for the service, the Digital Mova F501i Hyper.
