Numericable DVB-T rollout reaches 7.6 million homes

French cable operator Numericable has announced that over 7.6 million homes connected to the Numericable network in 147 towns and cities can watch the country's free DTT channels thanks to its transmission in the DVB-T standard. Customers need to have TVs with built-in DTT tuners or use a DTT adapter with their standard TV set. Numericable states on its website that it has invested EUR 15 million to allow customers to watch the free DTT and DTT HD channels via cable.
